The Lion King 2 ½: Sibling Bond[/u][/color]
This is the story of two siblings and their bond, which lasts forever, no matter what will separate them..
Chapter I: Morning Lesson
Sis! Wake up! Kopa said as he jumped on his little sister. Come on sis, wake up! Dad is gonna show us the kingdom! Wake up sleepy head! He playfully bit his sister's ear. Kiara yawned as she opened her eyes. Argh, why dad has to wake us up so early? I want to sleep! she said as she closed her eyes again, hoping that her brother would stop bothering her. But Kopa was really stubborn, especially when it comes to kingship stuff. Oh come on Kiara, stand up! Dad can't wait there for long! he said while looking at her with an angry face. Why do I have to be there? I'm not gonna be queen! she told Kopa with a sleepy face. That doesn't matter! Come on! Kiara yawned again as she stood up. Fine... Kopa rushed to the entrance of the den. He then waited for Kiara. Come on sis, let's go! he said with a playful face. Kiara walked towards Kopa. They both walked outside of the den.
Their father, Simba was there. Where have you two been? Simba asked. He was surprised that his cubs were late, especially with Kopa. He knew Kopa was really happy that he was gonna be king, just like him as a cub. Oh, it's nothing. Kopa said. Then follow me you two! Simba said as he started climbing to the very top of Pride Rock, the landmark of the Pridelands. The cubs followed their father. Kiara wanted to go back to the den and sleep, but she knew Kopa wouldn't let her. When she reached the top, she suddenly realized it was really worthy to climb to the top. The view from the top of Pride Rock was amazing, you could really see the whole kingdom from up there. Kopa smiled as he saw the Pridelands from the top. He knew someday he was gonna rule it all, so he was really excited to see his future kingdom. Simba smiled as he saw his cubs looking at the Pridelands. He was really excited the day he was first brought up there too. He walked to the edge and sit there. Come here. he told the cubs. The cubs didn't hesitate, they both ran towards the edge and sat down near their father. Look cubs. Everything the light touches is our kingdom. The sun started to rise more. A king's time as a ruler rises and falls like the sun. Someday, Kopa, this will be all yours. This will happen when my sun sets. Kopa looked at the kingdom while listening to his father. Kiara was a little sad, since those lessons were no use for her. She wasn't gonna be queen. Simba noticed his daughter looked sad, so he decided to stop his lesson there. That's enough for now, Kopa and Kiara. You may go down there and play. But Kopa didn't pay attention. A brown-ish and barren place had caught his eye.
Chapter II: Undecision
Hey Kopa, come on! Kiara said while stepping on his tail. Aren't you paying attention? Dad told us the lesson is over! Kopa growled as Kiara stepped on his tail. Leave my tail alone! he said, annoyed by his sister. She was always annoying him, but he would get over it shortly after. I was watching my kingdom! Can't a prince watch his kingdom anymore? the golden furred lion said. Well, your majesty, how do you know dad will choose you as the future king? Bad things happen! she answered him. Kopa would get annoying to her sometimes. He was always talking about being king, and she didn't like that. Kopa grinned at his sister. Because I'm the oldest, the strongest and the smartest of the cubs around here! he said, but then he thought he would cause an argument. Oh well, look there! He pointed at the brown-ish place.
Kiara looked at the barren place with interest. It didn't look like a part of the Pridelands, and she couldn't spot any animal in there. It was weird for her to see a place without animals or plants, as she was used to the grassy and filled-with-life Pridelands. But then again, if that place was safe for them, wouldn't their father tell them about that place? But she loved adventures a lot, so she didn't mind going. Do you think we should go there? Kopa said, wanting to go there. He was afraid to go there through, everything looked dangerously silent there. Of course we should! Dad wouldn't mind if we go to a place where there's nothing to hurt us, would he? Kopa looked at her. He thought she wouldn't want to go, and now he was forced to go to look brave. But he decided to try to get out of his situation. But, if there's nothing interesting, why should we go there? he said, hoping for a positive answer. Kiara thought of it a bit. It was true, she thought, but maybe they would see something interesting if they go there. Because we might discover something new! Kopa was trapped now. He couldn't say no or he would look like a coward. The only thing he could say was Okay...
Chapter III: Kopa's hesitation
Let's go then! Kiara said while climbing down Pride Rock, excited by her brother's decision. Kopa hesitated. Maybe it would be better if he had stayed out of this. Maybe he shouldn't have showed his sister the barren place. He would stay in the Pridelands and play with his friends. But now he couldn't run away from this. His sister would hate him and this he's a coward... All those thoughts came into Kopa's mind. He tried now to show that he didn't want to go. Hey Kop! What around you doing up there? Aren't ya coming? Come on! Kiara shouted from the bottom of Pride Rock, impatiently waiting for her brother to come with her.
Kopa slowly started climbing down. Shortly after, he was at the bottom of the huge rock. What happened? It's not like you Kopa! Let's go! she said as she playfully pushed a little her brother and started running away from Pride Rock. Kopa hesitated to go. He was again annoyed from his sister. Don't you dare to push my royal body![/i] he whispered. Kiara looked behind her and noticed that Kopa wasn't coming. She stopped running and stood there. She waited. Kopa started walking towards his sister, with a slightly annoyed look.
After a while he had caught out to his sister. Come on Kopa! Are you sick? It's like you ate one of Timon and Pumbaa's bugs! she said with a mischievous face. Oh no, it's nothing. I was just thinking of something... Let's go. He said. He had forgotten that he had to look bold and brave so his sister would doubt him. He started running towards the waterhole. Bet you can't catch me Kiara! he shouted. Kiara started to chase his brother, trying to catch up to him. You bet I can! she shouted at him.
